Free · Limited timeadaptive sidechain
spce
Sidechain that listens. spce finds the kick, works out where it sits against your bass, and cuts only the room the kick needs. The rest of the low end stays put.
Three knobs, three modes, zero latency. Claim it free while the offer lasts and the licence is yours to keep.

Hear the difference
Why a plain sidechain sounds off, and what spce does instead - in about a minute.
Three knobs
Amount
SubtleDramatic
How far the duck goes. Low settings tuck the bass a few dB under the kick; all the way up it gets out of the way completely.
Space
VolumeSpectral
What gets ducked. At one end the whole bass drops; at the other, only the frequencies the kick is using. Everything in between is a blend.
Groove
On gridLate
When the duck lands. It slides back by up to a sixteenth, so the bass breathes just behind the kick instead of on it.

Classic, Smart, Punch
Classic is the tempo-synced pump. Smart follows the kick and carves a pocket around it, so the rest of the bass stays where it was. Punch is a short, hard duck right on the transient, with a bounce on the way back that never comes out louder than what went in.

Hear only the cut
Delta solos what spce is taking out. The cut comes forward on the display and the result steps back, so you can hear whether it is clearing the kick's room or taking more than that.

The grid, the kick, or MIDI
Sync ducks on your DAW's grid, from a bar down to a 1/32, straight, triplet or dotted. Audio follows a sidechained kick, as one shaped dip per hit or as an envelope that rides vocals, synths and pads. MIDI ducks on incoming notes: any note, or just the one you pick.

Four shapes
Soft is a slow dip with a long, smooth return. Tight dips fast and comes back firm. Pluck drops instantly and snaps straight back. Swell eases in, holds, and lets go slowly. Release, beside them, stretches whichever you pick from a quarter of its length to four times it.

Presets and A/B
Factory banks for kick and bass, pumping and bus work, and room for your own: tag them, star them, search them. A/B holds two settings so you can flip between them while the track plays.

Under the hood
Zero latency
Groove delays the duck, never the audio. spce reports no latency at any setting, so nothing in your session shifts.
No clicks
Every gain move runs per sample through a shaped envelope, and a retrigger starts from wherever the last duck is.
Stereo link
One gain for both channels, so the image never moves. Unlink it when you want each side to answer on its own.
Steady triggers
An adaptive threshold reads the sidechain as it plays, with a 40 ms guard so one kick never fires twice.
Formats
VST3 and AU on macOS, Apple silicon and Intel. VST3 on Windows.
Any session
44.1 to 192 kHz, any buffer size. Block size never changes what you hear.
Questions
- Is it really free?
- Yes, for a limited time. Claim it now and you get the full plugin with a real licence key: no trial, no card, no expiry on the key. After the offer it goes back to $39.
- How do I get it?
- Add it to your cart and check out with your email: no card, nothing to pay. Your key and the installers arrive by email and live on My Products. Buying something else? It comes along in the same order.
- Do I have to route a sidechain?
- No. In Sync it ducks on your DAW's grid with nothing routed. Route a kick in when you want Audio, or send notes for MIDI.
- How many computers?
- One key covers 3 machines. Deactivate one on My Products to move the key to another.
- Mac and Windows?
- Both. VST3 and AU on macOS, VST3 on Windows. The same key activates either.
